Indeed. But I have yet to see any evidence of much mineral wealth in Ukraine. I seem to remember similar claims being made about vast rare-earth deposits in Afghanistan. Nothing came of that.

I can imagine that Canadians are watching the UK leadership very closely to see if the immediate solidarity they gave the UK in the two World Wars, long before the USA got involved, will be requited.
