I think if it was less challenging it wouldn't have had the same impact when you won. The journey to the boss could wipe parties never mind the fights.

I'm not sure anything will ever beat walking out into Lufaise Meadows after weeks of gearing, farming and defeats to the Promyvion bosses on FFXI back in 2005 (ish) whne we fianlly won.

It needs a middle ground, without any form of challenge its just a wander through cut scenes. Punishing games with only 1 way to win type mechanics are just as dull though.

Really spectacular that one, kick the XP earlier and we're looking at a FG for the win. The discipline in general is all over, the illegal use of hands call that took us out of FG range just for one...
