66 years ago today, Bishop Willie Walsh was ordained in the Basilica of St John Lateran, the Cathedral Church of Rome. Today, on his anniversary, and two days after his passing, I went to the same to remember him. I was privileged to concelebrate the evening Mass.

The Director of the Anglican Centre in Rome, Archbishop Ian Ernest, retires and returns toMauritius, this weekend. On Saturday, I was honoured ti accompany him and his wife Kamla for a farewell private visit to Pope Francis.

It was a joy yesterday, as part of an ecumenical church leaders’ pilgrimage, from Norfolk and Waveney, to greet Pope Francis and give him a bowl carved by Brian Wooden from a yew tree from @dioceseofnorwich.bsky.social
