I rarely get my grammar police thang on, but I really wish people who should know better use the correct word: it’s ABROGATE, not ‘abdicate’, which is used when a monarch departs the throne. Abrogate is the verb for useless POSs (guess) who don’t fulfil their sworn responsibilities.

It’ll be like Saddam asking for their undivided loyalty on the spot, or be frogmarched next door to a tiled room with a drain hole in the middle.
