What frightens me is how scared both universities and students react! This still seems to instill rabbit-caught-in-the-headlights feelings rather than large-scale resistance - but maybe I'm just not seeing it in the news?

... although I am less optimistic than the authors reg. TikTok's teacher identity formation & development potential.

Certainly another example for the growing disconnect between traditional (language) teacher prep. programmes and the #CPD teachers pursue on #SocialMedia platforms.

And then I stumbled on this sentence:
"To some measure, a surprising finding from this study are the calculated ways in which academics raise their online profiles and presence."

Reminded me of sth. I found in my EdD reserarch (completed 03/2019), pertaining to freelance language teachers though.
