Ah; the good old days…. The magic of the collators office. Walk in with an MO to a crime, the obligatory pack of chocolate hobnob biscuits and a brew to pay homage to the time served guru…. Walk out with the names of most likely nominals and a snout to go dig up info. Magical!

Isn’t it lie prone with feet toward the blast ? - its been a while 🙈

Do the replacement based on relative risk reduction / return on security investment, steady and measured… and you’ll start to get a nice cadence going and have an asset lifecycle.

Slow and steady wins the race here too…. I’ve seen firms do ‘big bang’ replacement projects - it causes plenty of headache and outage, and results in another pile of debt in 3-4 years sweating the ‘new’ assets.

Many thanks - it’s good to be here and learning a new platform and vibe. Quite liking how customisable my feed is - able to select my own algo not have one force curating my feed.

… and there in lies the challenge. Rebel is a choice, but it has consequences for which there is a responsibility to recognise that you’re also choosing to take.

Equally consensual policing needs a society that is as keen to discharge its personal and societal responsibilities as it is to shout about individual rights. With rights and freedoms, come responsibilities….

I’d also advocate 100% for consensual policing. This involves being close to and engaging with communities though, which is largely lost due to austerity causing a withdrawal of police from many neighbourhoods.

Absence of leadership and leadership accountability. There is plenty of ‘rank’ authority being wielded and thrown about, but a complete vacuum of credible and authentic leadership which has eroded trust and a sense of safety.

So long as the Aston gets its outings shared too 😊

Totally agree - but hopefully it means a degree of comfort when things go sideways…. and in my case I hope it’ll mean a path to earlier retirement via a pivot to a lower stress world than ‘cyber’ 🙈

Who was it that said the most terrifying words “I’m from the government and I’m here to help”. When the emergency hits, we’ll always be first on scene and need to get better at taking responsibility for being the first responder.

… and all with the advice of a qualified professional ideally!

For the masses; the priorities and safety comes from a) building up a cushion fund in an accessible savings account b) making good use of ISA allowances to build up a pot and c) making effective use of pension additional contributions and any employer matching benefit.
