Embedded in the energy transition, living in China and the UK - importing renewables components while working to improve supply chain sustainability. I am a generalist (average at best at everything) and a resident of our world.
I don't reply to DMs.

Reform UK are anti Net Zero .... unless there's money to be made of course.
Rupert Lowe MP represents Great Yarmouth for Reform and is a key investor in Kona Energy who are "delivering the zero carbon future"

Raging hypocrites the lot of them.

Fossil fuels in UK electricity generation are rapidly being replaced by renewables - but complete replacement will take decades. Unfortunately UK electricity prices are still mostly linked to the price of gas, not the much cheaper wind and solar. Thanks @carbonbrief.org for this analysis

I'm loving these live views of energy production and carbon intensity on the @electricitymaps.com app. You can really see how wind complements solar in the UK, more wind in the winter, more solar in the summer. Offshore wind is an absolute game changer!

God says that's not the Heart Nebula. It's not the"clearest image ever taken" of it either. It's not even a good AI of it.

Global electricity demand is still increasing but growth in wind and solar is limiting the growth in fossil fuel generation. Data from Ember Global Electricity Review 2024
