I really like this Pimoroni case but I also want POE and won’t be enough room after cooling, looks like I’m going have to make a new top for it. Purchased via @thepihut.bsky.social a debug probe also as I want to do more with microcontrollers.

When you can’t interact with your security lighting controller but after testing find 5v at one side of the x4 internal push buttons so you bang a logic shifter in it so it can be controlled from your #RaspberryPi via #gpio.
Ya can’t beat a bit of hot glue to hold something in place 😁

Nice and easy breadboard connections allowing 4 column pins unlike other microcontroller boards that cover connection holes see attached.
I’ve not used any ESP products before so maybe I’ll add to my next order.

I don’t think it’ll be long before we see official @raspberrypi.com screens that just need the CM5 for slim form factor projects.
Personally I think it’s a great idea, what do you think?
I do like and feel the need for x2 new 5” touchscreens to replace the lounge and a new landing screen 🤔

It worked, I got water readings yay I wish it rained but I poured some water in it 🤭

Microscope is out now I’ve found it 🤦♂️ on first inspection it looks like not enough solder paste used possibly but let’s see I’ll upload a video in a bit

Cut up an RJ11 lead and tested the cable which tests fine which is red and green just like the actual wiring. Yellow and black aren’t used as it’s only the middle x2 pins used.

I think there might be an issue with the enviro weather as I had no rain fall show last night and after testing the rain sensor which proves to be working

Some readings may not be correct as it’s currently in a doggy poo bag 🤪 I just wanted to get it outside for some testing.
Turns out the water sensor isn’t working so I’ll look at that before installing it on the aerial pole.
