Canadians, by-and-large, are not big flag-wavers, saluters, militant, or loud about our politics.
BUT there has been a sea-change. The conservative 'leader' Poilievre has brought most of this on with his denigration of Canada and his Trump support.
P'raps it IS flag time.

This is magic.
Makes a superb yoghurt starter, and blends into anything you need to make.
Slightly acid, slightly bitter, exquisitely smooth.
In a bowl 1/2 full add left-over cranberry sauce, or the end of a jar of great Seville Orange marmalade.
(Hope it is available near you. May be 🇨🇦 only?)

In Churchill, Manitoba, it is common for residents to leave their car doors unlocked. This practice is not due to negligence but is instead a crucial safety measure: in the event of an unexpected encounter with one of these massive predators, anyone can seek shelter in a nearby vehicle.
We are prey.

45 years ago as a squeaky-new teacher in Terrace B.C..
Didn't really know much about anything. Had had some truly cool jobs ... deep-sea sailor, railroader, cedar-shake maker (roofs). Became a teacher and fire-fighter.
Listened to Joan Armatrading, Paul Simon Doors, Letta Mbulu, rode BMW R60/5.
