esp32 -> TMC2209 just directly via DIR/STEP pins, it can move far faster & more precise than I need it to and be almost silent 😃

the contrast is nice, especially if you inset the cover piece just a little, border really pops!

i saw recommendations like that too and did a few tests, likely changes a lot depending on how bright the LEDs are and if you’re doing anything to diffuse first, but i found 1.2mm at 0.2mm layers feels best - i just set top/bottom layers to 5 so it’s all solid at up to 2mm and printer a handful

it’s a translucent PLA but i’ve been testing some improvements and a very thin layer of white PLA looks a lot nicer
