How did I get to this point you ask? Well, the zipper I have is two inches longer than it should be, so I cut two inches off the top intending to melt the end like I typically do with zippers and webbing. However, this zipper came from one of my grandmother's so it is old AF and is not synthetic...

Not bad for a final run though. Average of 96.67% off, and I walked out with a box of stuff for $13.
I may have gone a little crazy with supplies for pride flower crowns. I'll make a post here before they go to Etsy, and I'm happy to do custom orders!

Also! I am pretty happy with how this forearm guard turned out! I just need to find a better sealant so I'm not dyeing my arm green when I wear it.

I took my DIY arm guard for a spin today for the first time and it worked great! However, I need to get a more powerful sealant on it than what I've previously used because sweat + leather dye = jaundice 🤣

I was... Really not on my game today and I'm going to blame poor stance since my ankle and knee are still pretty weak after surgery/my range of motion is inhibited by stitches. But it was still fun to get out here!

Back at it at the archery range a little more than a week after surgery! I couldn't find my medical cotton gauze so I used some fabric cotton gauze to wrap around my bandages to keep the dust out lol.

Archery forearm guard progress! Now I'm just waiting for a silver cast cedar leaf off of Etsy to improvise into a leather stamp to decorate the edges! Then I'm planning to permanently stitch the upper part and have the lower portion affixed with ties.

It is both wonderful and dangerous how close this is to where I work. I picked up some supplies for my archery partner and I to make forearm guards that actually fit us out of scrap leather while we watch the Celebration live stream this weekend. 🏹

I'm back to archery for the first time in about a decade as a form of PT for my arm/hand! I'm not as bad as I thought I would be!
