I wish people could be normal about HRT overall, because honestly I dislike the tone of the MJ article even while the FDA reasoning is sus. There's a lot of contempt in there and a lot of it spills out on HRT in general.

So far, one road eagle, one really insistent mockingbird, and a lot of geese. But we're about to head up on a restored grassland so hoping for pipits, maybe a Vesper Sparrow, kestrels, and if we're lucky one of these trees will have a screech-owl!

I was thinking more of Dracula's obsession with his first wife -- per the Coppola version -- being an interesting theme to dig into, given the current arc of the Internet Wife Guy (derogatory). But if I must watch a pretty lady out-fuck Dracula again, so be it.

That wasn't the vibe I got from it but I'll admit I was fairly distracted when I saw it -- I'll do a rewatch with this in mind.

I love how polarizing both of these films are! One of my friends posted the exact opposite opinion to this one yesterday. Anyway, I submit that the next Dracula iteration should interrogate how much he's the Ultimate Cringe Wife Guy.

oh, I definitely hear you! I think I was responding partially to this fear in my head that the next iteration *won't* be horny. I fully agree with your overall take. I think if you make Dracula a Wife Guy, you can give him a lot of interiority so he becomes *more* than just horny.
