I'm a Houston Realtor having served the community for 20+ years. I also foster dogs for a local rescue called Rescued Pets Movement (RPM). I have my own fur babies: Pawvarotti and Itty Bitty Kitty
I think this what she would have wanted them to do.

It seems to me we have to circle back to the basics. We should be revisiting both the Constitution and Bill of Rights and making them the focus of our conversations. We are becoming fractured and are in danger of allowing fear to move us in the wrong direction.

We're talking about the opinion piece of the newspaper. That part of the paper is not news. It's opinions. I don't see an issue focusing on specific areas. It might not work. If people don't find it interesting, they won't continue to engage.

We'll see.

Ha! I had another dog named Poochini. He passed away two years ago but for a while, I had both Poochini and Pawvarotti.

Thanks, was curious what your gut was telling you. I don't know who manages and provides data for all those reports.

I support this as well. Personal liberties does need to be "Live and let live", IMO. I also believe that justice, anti-trust and property rights are important as well. The issue gets muddied by the religious zealots who seem to have a strong grip. Can it be loosened?

I'm not seeing an issue with this. If Bezos is transparently redefining their position, Free Market & Personal Liberties are important, then I don't see this as an issue. There is an evolution taking place here in America. People and organizations are regrouping. That's allowed.

Jared, do you think the economic reports you see on ForexFactory (I'm sure other sites have them as well) will continue or will the Government changes impact their availability to the general public?
February 26, 2025 at 7:08 PM
I agree. And I also believe maybe the role of Government has been hijacked. The challenge ahead of us is to clearly define what role the Government should play in our lives.

@mcuban.bsky.social I read about the meeting you attended with Republicans in D.C. This, in my opinion, are the principles people should be rallying around, or at least a start; also including stiff anti-trust laws to allow innovation in all industries to rise unencumbered by large competitors.

Free markets and free liberties are a VERY GOOD THING. So I applaud this move. Free markets is extremely important. If you want America back, you have to be willing to embrace what is founded on. Capitalism is extremely important - can't have it without those two things + property rights.

I'm guessing it's going to take a long time before the U.S. benefits from this deal. Mining doesn't happen overnight and anything can happen over several years. If this buys Ukraine a couple of years, it could make a difference.

I think I agree with your assessment that the Democrats failed to sell their position. And moving forward, if we don't clearly define what it is we want, we'll fail. Anything short of a true Capitalist society in my opinion, isn't worth fighting for. Prop rights & personal freedom are paramount.

"Recommends reinstatement" or "mandates reinstatement". Words matter and it sounds like it's up to the discretion of DOGE to reinstate.

Are we sure all these guys are aware of Bluesky? We can't assume they share this information amongst themselves. But what we can do, and it's very easy is email them and ask them to join. The email will most likely be picked up from staff but that doesn't mean it automatically gets put into file 13.
February 23, 2025 at 5:18 PM
Don't underestimate the importance of staff. If you have the staff's ear, you pretty much have the lawmaker's ear. Their staff may be young but they are very aware and smart. The last thing you want to do is minimize them.

Didn't know and didn't care.

I sincerely appreciate that you have chosen to use your clout, finances and position to help improve our access to healthcare. I will be adversely affected if they pull money from the ACA.

I’m guessing because Elon Musk has access to everyone’s bank accounts. It’s literally the first thing they accessed. What better way to manipulate journalists, judges and other politicians?
