Didn't Melania come on an H1b visa? Top, actually it was an EB-1, the "Einstein visa. Not sure how being a model qualifies. I'd laugh if it wasn't so awful.

Two of my favorites! Just finished listening… thanks for a fantastic podcast! So much insight, and thoughtful discussion. And a reminder to get back to reading Chris’s book, I got distracted with Leah Litman’s and Kamala’s books. Attention divided!

No, no, no, you take the plate and give it to me, I love pineapple on pizza, I usually cook it first though.

And the expectation and hope that the military wouldn't carry out an illegal order goes up in smoke along with the boat.

If that was the case, he would never have been confirmed in the first place.

See that’s (one of MAGA’s) problems with him, he worked to save people in the communities they hate. (Ebola - Africans who are mostly Black) and AIDS - the LGBTQ community [and disproportionately Black gay men ].)

we definitely need a regular MJS/LL podcast! I mean both shows and all 5 Strict & Amicus hosts are wonderful, but this 2-part crossoverwas super enjoyable and informative. 😘

I know in my kids’s school, they do discuss choosing sources and creating argument, mostly in Lit and history classes. I was proud when I was discussing an article with my older son and it took him very little time to dismiss it since it was from the NY Post. 😆

Thank you for this, even we over educated coastal types can use this reminder. I’ve never seen such a straightforward way of looking at this.

I think a critical thinking class should be a high school graduation requirement (though I’m sure there’d be battles to find an acceptable topic to dissect

And this surprises who?

I agree but how do you fact check when the obvious way (online search engines) uses what probably is the same info that ChatGPT uses?

Most people don’t have access to primary sources or even know what they are. Or have the ability to understand them (especially in sciences.)

I'm sorry, I didn't mean for that to be so negative. I've been infuriated by the machinations of the right that have resulted in today's SCOTUS; I hate saying "triggered" but I think that's what it is. I can't not read your book, it's too important.

Except something like Where’s Integrity or where’s Compassion would be more accurate, though no less anxiety provoking. How about a free prescription for Xanax or Ativan with every book purchased?😆
