It has been very strange in its' pull - occasionally my 16y and 18y olds will pop in to watch Gogglebox with us BUT they've been all over Celebrity Traitors since episode 2..all watching together tonight at 9!

Really interesting, thank you - will be an informative read for my 16 and 18 year olds. Does remind me of worried colleagues in the mid 90's who worked in IBM mainframe support who retrained when SAP was implemented - ultimately that retraining proved lucrative for most of them over the years

Wasn't a thing in Bury in the 70's/80's - as kids we'd build a shit Guy Fawkes and spend the week before 5th Nov wheeling it around door to door in our village asking for 'penny for the Guy' just so we could afford to buy fireworks for our own 'Bommie'

Haha..reminds me of doing my MCSE certification 25 odd years ago and setting up Windows NT Servers in the practice labs and having loads of replication issues - MS instructor "DNS, it's always DNS - come back in the morning and it will have worked itself through"

Has been interesting reading about his Dad’s behaviour with Jobe at Dortmund..maybe explains where the attitude comes from and looks like TT having a time limited contract is benefiting squad selection based on finding the best team rather than a disjointed one full of “star” players

Recently watched the Edna O'Brien documentary 'Blue Roads' and it came up that she was a guest on the first ever QT..had to look it up as thought QT had been around much longer!

It's very poor from a new leader and doesn't bode well for the Greens. No mention of social media platforms, right wing press and TV. Think for some it's v easy to blame poverty, racism is literally everywhere in our society regardless of class, just some folk are more covert with it than others

The vetting process looked suspect considering the amount of info in the public domain i.e. FT reporting 2 years ago that "Mandelson stayed at Epstein's luxury house in Manhattan while the financier was in jail for soliciting a minor"

She shouldn't be anywhere near a top cabinet job, at best a lowly minister of state where she can't do damage. Trouble is no one wants to do Home Office so you tend to get nasty or inept politicians filling the role. Why can't they just say, I have a flag but I just get it out when the football's on

Accidentally landed on NN, saw the guests and immediately off to Martin Parr on BBC4. Why do the producers keep booking irrelevant and failed politicians? Was so much better in the 40/45 minute format with the in depth stories that they broke

Accidentally landed on NN, saw the guests and immediately off to Martin Parr on BBC4. Why do the producers keep booking irrelevant and failed politicians? Was so much better in the 40/45 minute format with the in depth stories that they broke
Didn't realise it was coming up on BBC4..we rented it on Friday night and it was, as you'd expect glorious. So, so talented and his ability to gently blend into any social setting is fascinating to watch. Hate to say national treasure but we do spot funny situations and go 'that's a Martin Parr!'..

Labour has 4 years left. They could easily manage an ethical and responsible narrative on migration, how it benefits the UK etc. They could attack Farage/Reform and draw a line in the sand with little to no impact on their voter base. They would rather race to the bottom for no gain whatsoever.
