A very meta book about a writer, her six husband and her father maybe dying in the ICU. She goes into a cacti and sees some weird stuff. About grief for people still living and I liked Death Valley by Melissa Broder very much!

A 17-year-old girl goes with her history obsessed dad and mum to live like people from Bronze Age for 2 weeks. Shit happens! No quotation marks used thus making this a very hardly digestible walk of text (on purpose I assume) aka Ghost Wall by Sarah Moss

What if you were a medieval monk and you had a dream about a Saint, that dream got interpreted by the Cardinal and you were sent with a group of thieves to steal that Saint’s remains?? The writing is chef’s kiss in Nicked by M. T. Anderson

The Unworthy by Augustina Bazterrica is about a woman living after the end of the world in a mysterious monastery. It starts with a cockroach and ends with a bang. Twisty little novella. Read in one sitting. HIGHLY recommended!!

Nothing is True and Everything is Possible was a cool audiobook about the author’s time as a producer for Russian TV! Drama! Corruption! Real (or were they?) tears!

The Memory of Souls by Jenn Lyons. Started in January, finished on the 1st. Not the book's fault, my brain was scattered through February - April, but I will continue the series!

Agrippina is another solid nonfiction from Emma Southon! although her previous book about murder in Ancient Rome made me laugh out loud, I deeply felt Southon’s frustration with every other woman being named Agrippina 🫠 And that’s book number 30 of 2025!
