Our giant sequoia came down 10 days ago. There are still birds who fly around looking for it. Sad.☹️

Our giant sequoia is no more. Hit by lightning three months ago. The birds that used to live in its branches keep flying around looking for it so sad.

Our 75 yo Sequoia will be removed today 😫. It was hit by lightning two months ago and is slowly dying. I am in morning.

Pogonip on our walk Wednesday. I think it’s called hoar frost elsewhere

I am in mourning. Our 75 YO 60 foot high Sequoia was struck by lightning 2 weeks ago. Our arborist today climbed
45 feet up and found a hole broken right through the trunk. He can stop it from coming down but it cannot recover.☹️

If you look very closely, you can see bees, enjoying the cactus flowers in my yard in northern Nevada.

I think about this every morning on my walk “ when a human home is destroyed we call it destruction. When a animal home is destroyed we call it progress” . A vacant lot in our neighborhood has been cleared so ONE person can build his/her house. The clearing destroyed the homes of many animals

I play in a bluegrass band. We had our practice this morning. Always leaves me in a good mood. As long as I have music I will not give up.
