I don't like living in a country where it's this hard to tell if current events are real or satire, and where the real often outdoes the satire if anything.

Unfair to fifth graders, and far too generous to the idiot in chief.

Our toddler found the chocolate eggs before Easter, so we enjoyed those early, but there are plenty of other treats today. I am trying to have a nice, relaxing day with the people I love, carefully structuring time for my daily outrage so that it doesn't overwhelm everything else.

I mean, yes in the sense that it was a solvable math problem... No in the sense that it didn't determine what was claimed, and it had some superfluous things included in the equation to make it look better/different, but those pieces canceled each other out and meant literally nothing.

Translates to: to hell with babies, the elderly, immunocompromised people, and the fact that vaccines (while highly effective and important to public health) are not 100% effective in every individual case and herd immunity is an important part of the equation to protecting ourselves and each other.

make a case for because genocide is genocide and the Dems refused to say they would stop supporting it. But they sure didn't say they'd give free reign to netanyahu or turn parts of the country into a fucking resort, and trump DID. Again, it's a two party system with dressing, you failed us all.

to inhumane foreign prisons, the ones being detained illegally here, the health and research funding being decimated, the services people rely on like social security and Medicare/caid, the education system... And yes, likely things would be less extreme with Gaza although that's hard to 2/3

No, you're not paying attention. There were two choices, and both of them support the genocide, and while we could argue whether there are granular differences to that it's not the fucking point. There was no vote that would protect Gaza, but there was a vote to protect the people being shipped 1/2

We effectively have a two party system for major races. Both parties broadly support/won't denounce Israel. One party has members who want to change that. The other said let netanyahu go wild and pound Palestine to glass. A failure to support the one means you contributed to the other gaining power.

Why not? I read that some of her colleagues were trying to talk her into challenging him in the next primary.

What hate speech?

Resign, traitor.

Regardless of how we think they should be handled, it's important to acknowledge that those groups/sentiments exist as part of the makeup of this country. A lot of people thought we were immune but we never have been. Pretending that isn't part of the fabric of America won't help us rip it out.

Unfortunately, you can definitely be an American and a Nazi, those aren't the people I consider my countrymen or my leaders, but here we are and there they are.
