to be perfectly honest, this song was supposed to come out back in October of last year, but Helene hit, and I decided to release ‘bittersweet drunk’ instead because that song made more sense to reflect how I was feeling in that moment.

I’ve had the first line of this song in my notes for years. something finally clicked and it has now become one of the most poignant songs to me in my growth as a person.
