Father to a wonderful little girl. Concerned about the state of the world that she will grow up in, and trying to make it a better place one small piece at a time.

Liberal outlets are too busy trying to provide fairness, look at how pathetically they've been 'fact checking' this year. They're absolutely determined to avoid appearing biased to a group of people who fundamentally cannot be appeased

I'm sure Republicans will grow a spine and vote for the greater good this time round!

Capital has always tended far more towards the right than the left. Businesses in Germany by and large allied with the Nazis, and then when they lost the Allies pretty much allowed them to continue to exist. They're all convinced that they can control fascism - see those meetings Trump for dinner

Yeah but it's not George Soros so apparently that's ok
December 22, 2024 at 12:21 PM
I love this, it's on the yearly watchlist for sure
December 22, 2024 at 12:18 PM
And it will as always be worth the wait
December 22, 2024 at 11:04 AM
I'm sure he already is! We'll get it some time in 2030
December 22, 2024 at 11:04 AM
Every time I see that profile pic he's got I can't believe that he put that on unironically

The past year has absolutely destroyed Biden's legacy... He should never have run for reelection, then should have stepped down sooner. His by and large good work in office will forever be tainted by the fact he left the door fully open for Trump.

They'd have been crucified in the media if they'd played kids in games in the UK/Ireland and then sent senior players to Almaty, especially if we then went on to lose the next prem game after the Almaty trip.

There's a lot to criticise about youth policy recently, this isn't the right fight though

Conservative academic is practically an oxymoron with how off the rails the right has gone

Elon Musk is the best evidence that the system as it is now is not a meritocracy.
December 6, 2024 at 4:00 PM
I wonder what type of 'free speech' they are interested in
December 6, 2024 at 2:58 PM
Oh I fully agree, it won't work. But these people didn't get where they were by being introspective and trying to do better for their fellow man. Being self serving is all they know
December 5, 2024 at 4:43 PM
Nah they will just build more compounds, hire more security, and lobby to change laws to get police to protect them even more, all while complaining that they shouldn't be taxed.

Same pricks that told me they didn't like Obama poking his nose into the EU Referendum because it was foreign interference will be salivating at the prospect of this.

Labour have a huge parliamentary majority, they need to shore up political finance laws against this sort of thing

It's always been somewhat disguised though. Musk spaffing 80m into Reform is a different kettle of fish, that kind of money is pretty much unheard of in UK politics. In the 2017 election the entire spending for all parties was 41.6m...

The past few seasons have definitively shown that no one is more deluded than Arsenal fans. The banter era has really messed with them, some proper qanon shit coming out of that fanbase
December 3, 2024 at 3:44 PM
I mean yeah but Anthony Taylor's particularly egregious record with us is always going to spark complaints
December 3, 2024 at 2:01 PM
I can't believe that none of you made a 'Cornobyl' joke in this one tbh
