“Venus figurine” is the accepted (though inaccurate) term for Paleolithic fertility idols, and doesn’t specifically mean the figurine is the Roman Goddess Venus.

“Venus figurine” is a term used to describe prehistoric fertility idols and doesn’t strictly mean it’s the Roman goddess Venus.

You’re so right, a grown man shouldn’t have been in an evening gown — it was clearly a daytime event, so he should have opted for a sundress.

What happens if a precocious puberty patient also happens to be transgender? What the heck are intersex kids supposed to do? Which government official is in charge of confirming a child’s gender and how do we preemptively put that official in hell?

If you see someone who’s been set on fire, you don’t stand around and demand credit for not doing arson before the flames are even addressed, and you certainly don’t center your hurt feelings when they tell you to stop.

“You are a racist” and “your behavior is racist” are different though, and one is correctable. It’s important for us to know that white women *as a whole* failed black women so we can examine our social structures and behaviors to do better, even when we were well-intentioned.

As with human-created content, AI-generated content can be profoundly incorrect. When I consume human-generated content, though, I can evaluate the source - why are they saying this, how reliable are they, etc. With LLM-generated content, a lot of that is obfuscated by the algorithm.

How is it an “undercurrent now surfacing” when he came down that stupid elevator telling us Mexico was sending criminals back in 2015?

According to Wikipedia, Tim Berners-Lee was 14 years old and going to school in Battersea when ARPANET was launched in 1969. You might be thinking of the World Wide Web, rather than the internet.

It’s my understanding that Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web, which works on top of the internet structure pioneered by ARPA (now DARPA) in the United States.
