My neighbours said there's nothing they can do about Trump. They just left for Florida. People are very backward where I live 🙄

When pollsters convert vote intent into seat count you can see that no party would ever form a majority with PR. As long as there is fptp, ppl will vote strategically. If their vote could get their preferred party a seat at the table, they'd do that. More parties at the table = govern'g for more ppl

Orrrr.... we could push for electoral reform.... seriously. What if parties mostly had to form coalitions to govern.... they would have to compromise almost every time. Could give us a more balanced government...

Why does everyone get called by their first name except Meghan? Also, I am pretty sure she changed her name when she got married...

Telling a department to spend less on paperclips is quite a bit different than telling them they no longer have funding & therefore are no more. My point is that there have been no announcements that programs will be cut, so everyone losing their minds about it are jumping the gun. Let's wait & see.

My point is that we don't know yet. Let's not lose our minds over speculation; no cuts to benefits have actually been announced. What they have said is the school lunch program, CWELCC, pharma care, and the dental plan will all continue, even if they won't be expanded. The rest is schrodinger's $$$

I'm sorry you are so angry. You have my goodwill, and I hope you do well.

They asked departments to find ways to cut spending. This isn't necessarily cutting benefits. The only things I have heard them mention are ones they plan to keep. They may, in the end, cut some, which will be disappointing. They just haven't yet. Cutting spending in and of itself isn't a bad idea.

Not sure how being snarky is an appropriate reaction, but 'finding efficiencies' isn't cutting benefits. Every mention I have heard is that they are keeping them. Also, if you were paying attention, you would know they haven't implemented anything 'yet', so you're jumping the gun with your outrage.

What benefits have the Liberal gov't cut?

Or... it could mean that this is a part of an investigation, and he can't say. Things are rarely as black and white as people would have you think.
