Explain to me how this changes anything. Seriously? Boycott Tesla 100%. But for those that already own an older model how does doing this to their car do anything for the cause? Cybertrucks are one thing.. a model 3 from years ago? A 2016 model s? This is performative at best.

Okay so unnecessary consumption and the environment mean nothing then? Because my car is paid off. It’s a 2016. You want me and others to go into debt to purchase a new vehicle that likely won’t be electric due to cost. Because of the label on the vehicle. Gross simplification doesn’t help anyone.

First off I’m not maga. Secondly, cars are not disposable. The aftermarket on a tesla in no way will allow someone to turn around and just purchase a new vehicle. Especially with the tariffs coming into play that will impact car pricing. The message is not everyone can just dump their car.
