This problem is incredibly complex, and there are bad actors on both sides. But the first step is that everyone needs to accept that we must work towards an independent Palestinian state side-by-side with Israel.

Of course there is a better way! It’s called peace! Let me begin by defining an “extremist” in this situation: It is anyone who believes that the solution is one state, because that means either no Palestinian state or no Jewish state. There cannot possibly be long term peace without two nations.

If you redefine genocide to mean any act of warfare, then yes. The casualty figure of 50,000 comes from a disreputable terrorist organization, so we don’t know if it’s true but if it is that is 1/4 of one percent of the population of Gaza.

Hamas is the government of Gaza. They invaded Israel. They keep hostages and refuse ceasefire proposals. Do the Gazans support Hamas? They’re welcome to overthrow Hamas and bring this to an end. If not, Israeli soldiers will do it.

I suggest that you study the history of war. By your logic, the US is a terrorist state due to the number of German and Japanese WW II civilian casualties. Casualty figures are often asymmetric, and never is there an “umpire” who declares a victor and ends the war based on number of casualties.

I believe a total of three U.S. civilians died in WW II, whereas the U.S. killed nearly a million Japanese and German civilians. This is a tragic and sad fact.

I reject what you are saying entirely. The enemy is Hamas. Blame Hamas for embedding themselves within civilian population centers and among children. Israel did not want Hamas to invade on October 7. They don’t want any of this, which is why they need to fight until Hamas surrenders or leaves.
