i think it depends on the type of teal. to me, colors lie in a range based on their hue, and teal is the range between true green and true blue
a circle of hues with categories labeled on the inner ring, and sub-categories on the outer ring. the main categories are red, orange (O), yellow (Y), green, teal, blue, and purple. On the outside, the categories contain the following sub categories: Red: Red, red-pink, some of pink Orange: Orange and red-orange (R/O) Yellow: Yellow and gold Green: Green and lime Teal: Teal Blue: Cyan, light blue, blue, some of indigo Purple: Some of indigo, some of purple, purple-pink, and some of pink.

A white-beige mushroom with frilly edges pokes out of a log. It appears as though a bug has taken a few bites from it. A similar mushroom, this time from the side. Spider webs are barely visible coming down from the cap. Its gills run down the stem a little bit.

An as-of yet unidentified yellow mushroom with free gills sticks out and up from a wet branch. It's very small, and its gills are VERY far apart! This was one of the first ones I found on the trip. It felt like it was telling me, "you came on the perfect day for mushroom hunting!" and it was right! A single little golden mushroom sticks up and out of a log. Sunlight overhead casts rays along the upper right half of the photo. A tiny slug crawls up the mushroom's cap, clearly having just emerged from under its gills. The forest in the background filters some of the sunlight into many lively shades of green. This one makes me emotional. The mushroom is my favorite color. It's in perfect condition and a little happy slug is exploring all over it. The sunlight and the trees are breathtaking. The entire log is so peaceful. I could cry over this one, I think. 1000/10. Slug on him. slug on him...

i went mushroom hunting today!! #fungifriends highlights (with captions!!) below
A little yellow banana slug trails around on a fallen log. It's completely carpeted with moss, twigs, tiny plants, and pine litter. I love how full of life the forest is! My partner, Opal, took this photo after climbing onto a fallen tree. I didn't go up there myself, but I was excited to see the photos they took of our little slug friend. An orange jelly fungus (Dacrymyces chrysospermus, I think, but please do correct me if I'm wrong!!), sitting on a dead log. It's bright and visibly slimy. The log itself is also covered in very soggy, old, and turned-sideways polypores. In the background is more forest detritus. Seeing this thing was like meeting a celebrity!! His texture was so squishy and slimy, it was so fun
