🎧🌳 I love ambient music, my garden, and women’s equality. Here to uncork my internal dialogue DCKC
I am far from a Christmasy person but am looking forward to some peace, seeing Calvin Arsenia this week

Estate sale score. I wish I could have met who lived in that house, bet she was a cool, cool lady

This is a far better scene than one cluttered by natural gas extractors

Bought my Dad this great advent calendar. Different bird each day and pressing the inside of each window is a recording of the bird’s song

Read the room, Corinth Hen House! Now is not the time! They took away my joy, replacing the Jelly Belly dispenser with a kombucha and cold brew “Apothecary”

I think I'm going to commission Danial Ryan to create my new LinkedIn header

TCM is playing Leave Her to Heaven tonight. I love movies about women who are cold and someone else under their facade. But mostly I’m obsessed with the Taos house set

My temporary roommate is trying to apologize for keeping me away from all the horror season’s going-ons. Via sad eyes

Her tipsy scene in the Pink Panther has to be one of the cutest, sexiest scenes in film

With Robert Redford’s passing, I encourage watching Three Days of the Condor, Jeremiah Johnson and All the President’s Men. He deserves recognition for his reinvestment into film thru Sundance, his environmental work, and for being a role model for men as a feminist

As an introvert, I want to dispel the small talk hate. Yes, I dread a room full of people that’s nothing but, but IMO humans need small talk to massage friendships. All deep, all the time is just as exhausting

Rhubarb season is upon us. Rhubarb fresh-picked from my Freedom Garden plus local strawberries

I consume a lot of content for my profession, so Pocket was a lifesaver for keeping track of content across platforms. I'm peeved to see it go--and appreciate that Mozilla is basically calling me old

After 20 years of service, the Highlander is retiring. To DC and back again, lots of off roads and urban streets and the roomiest backend, the cost of repairs just outweighed the need for something reliable. Happy trails, Car-Car! 😢

I’m EXHAUSTED but the garden is in the ground. My yarrow went alpha during the offseason

Was so happy to make old fashioned chicken and dumplings on this rainy day. The recipe is from the old Leona Yarbrough’s in Fairway. Fucking fantastic

Watched 1972’s The Getaway to check out the Quincey Jones score. A welcome surprise it starred Ali MacGraw—it reminded me that her and Katherine Ross were my childhood platonic crushes

I’ve learned to be cheap where it counts to save for non-retirement. Tip: one can de-crystallize honey by heating it up for about 5 minutes in low boiling water. This stuff is too costly to throw away

I have a thing for collecting old boomer back-to-earth cookbooks. Scored these two oldies this past weekend
