yes we had something similar in belgium (i'm belgian but moved to scandinavia) and it was so handy to just rent a console and a game for the weekend and then return it. i remember my parents renting a PS1 and the spice girls game for my birthday one year, i was so happy lol

this is super helpful, thank you so much! i didn't know metaphor ran on the deck, let alone elden ring (despite the fan going crazy haha). fps doesn't bother me either as long as it doesn't lag/stutter, but i am sensitive to resolution (for example some switch 1 games look really blurry on switch 2)

what kind of games do you play on it? and do you have to tweak the settings a lot? i don't mind tinkering but i'm not used to PCs anymore because i've been a mac and console user for over 20 years now :/

yeah the reveal of the steam machine is actually what made me look into the steam deck again! but i'm sure the steam machine will be way too expensive here in scandinavia :/

i guess i'm mostly tempted by the sales that steam has so often and i didn't expect all switch 2 games to cost so much here so i'm a little disappointed; so i gave mine to my partner who uses it everyday. anyway i guess i'll have to think it over before i invest in one! thank you btw! :)

ahh those are the things that worry me the most, also having to tinker with it to get certain games to run well, and i read the deck is kinda heavy as well. but i don't want a PC bc i need to be able to lay down at times due to my disability so i don't want to sit at my desk to play games :/

i didn't even know people get upset over that! i don't have many followers on here but i've had so many bad experiences on IG/Twitter that i prefer peace of mind. some people are just plain creepy or have no idea they're invading someone privacy/personal space.

there's a ton of stores scattered around the map and i really like the clothing designs, some outfits are super cute! many different color options too for both the clothes and the accessories. i don't like that the shops are just menus again though, that really sucks

that sounds awful lol. i haven't missed a day of coffee since i was a teenager and i'm scared to imagine how my body would react if i don't have it for a week T-T

most of the hate comes from ppl who haven't played it yet, calling it slop bc the windows on the buildings look low res. which is true, they do look bad but the rest of the game looks/runs way better than SV. i guess ppl just like to hate these days. most reviews are actually pretty good!

awh i love your team! i should really give SV another try, i couldn't get into it because of the lack of outfits and the overworld felt too empty to me 🥲 i got the new one and it's pretty fun so far. so much negativity online though lol

some farming sims are definitely very stressful! i feel a bit bummed out because the game looks very good, and the characters are well written compared to previous entries. but i feel so frazzled while playing and my heart beats so fast almost as if i'm playing a horror game haha!
