I’d rather be riding.
I’m not “brainwashed by a conman”. I despise Musk and feel he is one of the greatest threats to the US right now. Surely you know he didn’t design or invent the Tesla, he just bought the company. The car I bought was rated very highly by car experts and has proven to be a good car.

At least I can hold down my end of a civil conversation without insulting, being condescending and rude. Maybe “everyone knows” is enough to be considered facts for you. I am just going on my experience with the Tesla I had, and several other EV’s, and disputing a misleading headline.

By that logic, *every* time a bad driver gets into any car, they crash. Maybe there is something about Teslas that causes these bad drivers to crash them, there is a learning curve to operating the car, but I disagree about the poor software and build quality.

Who says those bad drivers never drove (or crashed) any other cars before? That makes zero sense.
December 7, 2024 at 6:16 PM
You don’t need to be rude man.

Also from the article: Most of these vehicles received excellent safety ratings, performing well in crash tests, so it's not a vehicle design issue. The models on this list likely reflect a combination of driver behavior and driving conditions, leading to increased crashes and fatalities."

How are you not getting this? Quote from the article: “Researchers at iSeeCars do not attribute the fatality rates to the vehicles sold by each brand in and of themselves, but more to consumer behavior and how customers of each brand operate on the road.” It’s not the cars, it’s the drivers.

I think all EVs are pretty good vehicles. I think the headline of this study is extremely misleading, as it is not a list of the most dangerous vehicles, it is a list of the most-crashed vehicles. But most people don’t read beyond the headline nor think about what it actually means.

I don’t understand what pony you’re your trying to make.
December 7, 2024 at 5:27 PM
I did. They said it’s the drivers, not the cars.
December 7, 2024 at 4:32 PM
Counter counter point: nuance. Read the article. It’s the drivers, not the cars.
December 7, 2024 at 4:31 PM
I’d expand that to include all EV’s. They are not the enemy or the problem.
December 7, 2024 at 4:30 PM
I read the article and it placed the blame on the drivers, not the cars.
December 7, 2024 at 4:04 PM
Did anyone read the article? It says the driver is the problem not the car. Can we all just focus the hate on Elon instead of making this an anti-EV thing? He didn’t invent or design these cars, Martin Eberhard and Marc Terpenning did. They are good cars, they don’t explode more than ICE cars do.
December 7, 2024 at 3:55 PM
You’re right about Musk being an idiot, but “his vehicles” are not designed by him and are not more dangerous than any other vehicles on the road. They are actually really good cars. Except for that stupid cyber-dumpster.
