I never would've written career-ending injury hockey rpf lest I jinx an actual real life human being, but for fictional volleyball guys all bets are off I guess?

Iwaizumi actually just cares about whether Oikawa is okay, though, and maybe he helps set up Oikawa with Ennoshita for specialized rehab or something idk, I have no idea where I'm going with this which is why I would not write it lol

Some drama happens when Iwaizumi is in town, because Oikawa has been avoiding him bc maybe Iwaizumi warned him about an injury and Oikawa played on it anyway and that's why he can't play anymore and he doesn't want to hear "I told you so"

and Suga not expecting to actually like Oikawa this much? it's tough at first because Oikawa is still Oikawa, but Suga ends up helping his kid adjust, and she ends up besties with Tanaka and Kiyoko's kid and Daichi's kid, so Oikawa gets adopted into their friend group

I'm not gonna write it because novel length slow burn is not my strong suit but! Oikawa's kid having trouble adjusting to life in Japan, Oikawa himself struggling with retirement/maybe had to stop due to injury, feeling awkward about his new job as a coach

...and then I actually woke up and there was no music and no flashing despite me being in the exact same position and circumstance as my dream. Super weird feeling to wake up to! I kept triple checking that nothing on my phone was lighting up.
