Middle of Nowhere, Canada
Rant. Read it or don't. I believe to my very core that we are supposed to help each other. We can't help everyone, it's true, but we do what we are able, and I am generally the first person in line to offer my services. Last week I got injured. ...2

This has been a particularly tough winter this year. Sooo much snow and prolonged windchills in the -30s and -40s °C. March is typically our snowiest month, but Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb has seen more snow than ever. My Canadian fortitude is waning, and I am so done with this. 🥹

What an insanely brutal winter this has been so far. -20s. Has snowed every single day. My fence is 5 ft high, and my dog can walk over it. 80 km/hr winds on a regular basis. No sun. This Canadian can't take much more, and it is only January.

The last 10 weeks have been the coldest, windiest, cloudiest, and most early winter weather I have experienced in the last 40 years. I shoveled every day in November, and almost every day in December. I live in one of the sunniest places in Canada, yet it has been cloudy for weeks. I need sunshine!

Oh my! Is that blue sky, I see?

My husband sent me this. He said, "It is very fitting."

I am so done with shoveling snow, and it isn't even winter yet. Sigh.

If I am a Telus customer, and my bill is paid up to date, is it reasonable to block them because they are calling 3X a day?

I was making tuna melts. Turned to see this guy sitting at the kitchen island waiting for his share. He isn't allowed to have it, but I think the person who relinquished him to the vet before I adopted him used to feed it to him. He will come from a different floor to ask for some.

My cat just tried to kill me. I was carrying something heavy and could not see the floor in front of me. He decided that it was time to feed him at that very moment and wrapped himself in my legs. I am still alive, but I hurt my back. My perfect form for heavy carrying was ruined. Cat is still alive

I have another frog to eat today, but I just spent 3 hours doing a neighbour's farm chores while they're having cancer treatment. Do I procrastinate eating my frog because there is snow coming, and they might not make it back in time to do evening chores, and go do their stuff again instead?

Yes to Cotton Candy grapes! Oh my...where has they been all my life? Costco has them.

I have a frog to eat today, and no spoons with which to do it.

I am still a little shy to post on here. I will post pics of some of my critters, ask for recommendations.. but after X, I am extremely reluctant to voice an opinion or comment on something for fear of being attacked. I know how to block. They've worn me down and into silence. I don't have the energy

Call me boring if you want. I run my vacuum every single day. I have spent thousands of $ on vacuums that will not pick up my dog's hair. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have a long-haired dog. Yes, I have tried Dyson pet vacuums. A broom does a better job.

I have my CGM set to alert at 4.2 mmol/l. I was in the shop with my hands full. Still WNL. By the time I put down what I had & got into the house to grab something, it was 3.1 mmol/l. Dropped so fast! I figured I had a couple of minutes. I have "a low" kit on the wall in there. Didn't use it. Uggh!

I DO NOT want 5G in my area. Not because of any conspiracies but because it is slower than dial-up. LTE is wicked fast comparatively.

Today, I said to my husband, "Do you know that there are people out there that sit down and watch shows, or read books?" We looked at each other very puzzled. He said, "I don't know how they do it. There is always something that needs to be done." We only stop when we sleep.

Me trying to figure out the hype about Scrub Daddy/Scrub Mommy sponges. Scrub at a spot for 5 minutes, not budging with the Scrub Daddysponge. Scrape my fingernail across it...gone! Voila! I have been trying to love them as much as everyone else does, but I just can't.
