Thank you once again for the reminders! And in appreciation of Max and sharing photos of good dogs, here is Izzy aka the Wizard (my pup) and her “cousin” Nic. Izzy of course is beautifully oblivious to our human problems, and while Nic seems concerned, he’s kind of like that all the time.

An antlion randomly fell onto me just as I had turned out the lights to sleep, ‘cept I thought it was a crane fly. 2 days later/last night, apparently after a sojourn in the kitchen bread box, it flew into my room as I was exiting. I said, wait a sec…that’s not a…after a brief chase, antlion in cup.

It’s lunch time: a black swallowtail caterpillar (Papilio polyxenes) munching on some parsley. Which makes me think of taboolii…mmm.,.

So…I’m not sure if anyone needs a flag like this for anything, but I hear this ALF guy is a big deal here…(funny enough I made these before I knew what a Bluesky or blooski or skeet even was). I probably should have went full creamsicle on the orange one.

This is a cuckoo bee, subfamily Nomadinae, which gets its name from the notorious(?) bird, because it does the, Here have some extra kids things! This photo is one of my better ones, I’d say. Please be kind to your bees.

Hello, BSky: I have (photos of) bugs to show you, those little workers and freaks and miracles. Probably some dog pics, too. And likely Boston Celtics nonsense, and maybe some woodworking, hopefully reading/writing stuff, maybe volunteerism, and — well, a mess, but with hope, a tidy, enjoyable mess.
