I thought the King would challenge Donald Trump to a sword fight for control of Canada in today’s throne speech. Disappointed again!

King Charles III opens the new Parliament with the speech from the throne this morning. Here’s the last time the monarch opened Canada’s parliament:

Alberta measles cases continue to grow. Most cases are in the south and most cases are unvaccinated people. 10% have been hospitalized. Fortunately no one has died yet, but if this epidemic isn’t controlled someone will likely die soon.

Ten years ago today I was first elected as the MLA for Edmonton Gold Bar. Thank you for trusting me to be your voice in Alberta’s Legislature.

I’m sure this won’t be another way for the UCP to funnel money to their friends like Sam Mraiche, right?

Today is Trans Visibility Day! Since last year, the UCP has outlawed doctors from providing gender affirming care, banned students from choosing their own pronouns, and made it illegal for trans gender athletes to compete in sports.
Trans people have the right to exist!

If the UCP truly believed in merit, terrible MLAs like Grant Hunter would get paid what they deserve - zero.

ICYMI, Danielle Smith appointed Raymond Wyant to “investigate” the CorruptCare scandal. He can only look into the matters that she allows him to, reviewing only the evidence that she gives him.
We need a public inquiry, led by a judge who can investigate what he wants and compel any evidence.

Mike Ellis appointed Sam Mraiche’s business partner to the Edmonton Police Commission. In the movies, the gangsters just bribe the cops. In Alberta they take over the police commission.
So now it’s the Premier, Health, Infrastructure and Public Safety waist deep in corruption.

Danielle Smith told a caller to her radio program that she’s watching the sale of raw milk in the US “with interest”.
You know what goes into raw milk? Cow shit. Danielle Smith cannot be trusted to protect your health.

Pete Guthrie (pictured) wants Adriana Lagrange fired. If this clown is embarrassed by Lagrange, imagine what normal Albertans are thinking.

Tired: defending Canada by wrapping yourself in the flag.
Wired: defending Canada by going completely metric. Cook in Celsius! Weigh yourself in kilograms! Measure your farm in hectares!

Desperate to change the channel from the CorruptCare scandal, Danielle Smith will be announcing the Sam Mraiche High School and MHCare Academy tomorrow.

Hey southern Alberta. Got questions about coal or AHS contracts? Heres a chance to ask a UCP MLA about it IN PERSON this Thursday. Use it!

That’s right, woodchuck chuckers, it’s GROUNDHOG DAY! Wiarton Willie predicts an early spring.

Wow! Jasper showed up today to demand the UCP build houses! This is what people power looks like.

When the incoming President of the United States has declared his intent to take over Canada, the Alberta government should NOT be championing unity with the US. Does Danielle Smith believe Canada should become a part of the US?

This morning the UCP voted to give themselves pay raises and golden parachutes. They look after themselves while doing nothing to make your life more affordable.

I met President Carter in 2017 when he was in Edmonton for Habitat for Humanity. I spoke briefly to him - he talked about his deep sea fishing trip in Alaska and expressed surprise that Edmonton was surrounded by so much agriculture.
Thank you for everything, Mr President!
