‘Liminal Rites’ - hand stitched embroidery. One of my pieces currently hanging at The Linden Art Gallery in Naarm/Melbourne as part of the group Postcard Exhibition on until 2nd Feb. You can view the full catalogue of works via their website 🌀👁️💦
An embroidery stitched with black thread on natural hemp and cotton fabric. The embroidery is a leg coming from a spiral going through the centre of a circle with small rays beaming from it. Below the circle are water droplets. The leg has a diamond on the upper part and eyes on the lower part and a black ribbon tied in a bow around the ankle. The piece is framed in a black frame placed on a dark blue background.
