An homage to the Cedars. Using oil paint to create all of these translucent layers takes patience but I love how it unfolds. I was trying to capture the glow that you come across in the forest, where the light source seems mysterious.

Rare bluesky January day on the West Coast. Did you know that being in the forest lowers cortisol levels (until you start thinking about climate change, shrinking forests and unusually warm dry January days). I make art to share my reverence & to save my sanity. How do you reconcile it all?
