My field trip to Bhutan comes to an end. I am impressed by this beautiful and peaceful country. What I learnt in a nutshell: 🚨more coordination across the levels and strict policies 📚, more education and awareness, and 💰 funding to support the private sector are needed to mitigate plastic pollution.

Today, we went to Memelakha landfill. What I learnt today: a) it’s basically only plastics as it’s of low or no value to the locals. b) leachate is a huge problem intoxicating rivers and ecosystems. c) incineration an upcycling is better than dumping.
