True, my recollection is McCain’s out at the time was that he was born on a military base. Ted Cruz tried to make a similar argument. Natural born meant something different to the founders than it does today. I don’t know if that’s actually been definitively resolved. I hope he can run & does!

That would make total sense, and I’d be all for it. But originalists would disagree, and it hasn’t been definitively settled. So we’ll see.
