It must be a good thing to keep this on the agenda. And of course, it is all interrelated. Equality in one nation supports a wider peace, trade, economic progress... and eventually the cost of living in North Norwich.

I think most people understand you can work on many issues at the same time.

When I think of our national identity here in the UK, the six letters that come to mind are NHS & BBC. They stand for fairness, decency and trust. That's what I pay my taxes (& licence fee) for - worth every penny and more

Barbara balks at that navy slang - "Away, man! Away!"
Brad falls awkwardly. Angry hands grab and grasp. Barbara asks "Can taramasalata harm damasc?"
Anyway, that drab shawl hangs at Harvard as a flashback.
And that's a fact.

I'd love to hear you discuss the recently-emergent phrase "is there a world in which". Tends to be used in place of "is it possible" but to my ears sounds less analytical/objective and more ideologically driven, ie it's aiming at making that world actually happen, not just pondering the possibility

Just finished reading her autobiography - what a woman! I knew her as a 80s pop star but she is so much more interesting that that

When you own music on CD, you get to love it through multiple listens rather than always jumping on to something new. It's a more intense kind of listening & knowing the music

It's striking that no one seems able currently to articulate a positive case for immigration, or for welcoming refugees. We need more stories of people who have come to the uk and contributed. Not *just* looking after our grandparents, but making music, art, poetry, science, culture! Flip the script

Love that it can make cats dive, but can't get the Olympic rings correct in the background. AI has the attention to detail and focus of a 3-year old

This explains why the text it generates is so well suited to the corporate environment: summarising meetings and editing emails for us. It's just empty bullshit language, the idioms and signifiers that perform a response (but without actually meaning anything)

Update now that I have an infected root: 111 give you a ref number and the phone numbers of a few dentists. You call them and they tell you that they have no spaces. Repeat daily until the pain becomes unbearable. I am in the middle of this right now and not sure what is meant to happen next

I had been planning my first trip to NYC to visit MOMA "before they start burning all the abstract paintings" as I joked. But things have got so bad so fast that I've decided to postpone for a few years. Who knows we could be at war with the States within a year or two :( Tragic

Loving the show - it's not political but I'd love to hear you two analysing the language of clickbait. 'you won't believe what X looks like'/'people in your area'/'I did this for a month and this happened' kind of thing...

There are no NHS dentists in East Anglia, it's a dental healthcare desert. The official advice is to call 111 and get referred if you are in pain. There is no way to get checkups on the NHS, meaning "cure rather than prevention" which is obviously pretty dumb & inefficient

Weirdly, this also came out of my own mouth a couple of weeks ago. It just sort of... happened without me thinking about it. "spready" hmmm
