That said, as someone who once lost their driver’s license while visiting CA and had to undergo enhanced screening at LAX to get home, I was once a case study in legitimate scenarios where this would *really* come in handy lol

Yeah. I think my concern - and why it feels vaguely dystopian - is that if your citizenship documents can be digitized on something you carry around with you all the time, it makes it far more convenient (and therefor, potentially, more socially acceptable?) to become a “Papers, please” society

Update: This has now been resolved, but apparently before it was fixed it was also impacting users who had never enrolled any kind of FIDO key and had no idea what they were being asked to do lol
