I should have been reaching retirement age next year, but thanks directly to Osbourne, I now have to work a further two years before I receive my meagre pittance.

My dad also worked at Lairds in the 60s, and one of my earliest memories was going to the launch of one of the Polaris nuclear submarines in either 1967 or 1968. I would have been 6 or 7 years of age.
