Absolutely! It's probably the most damaging myth that the majority of people claim to believe. It's a hard case to make though

Surely the real way to deal with the welfare bill is to force companies to raise wages, while forcing rent and bills down? That seems like the actual root of the problem.

Interestingly, I've seen a lot of these guys who voted for Trump also supporting Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I don't think it's the strong man fascist that they're voting for, I think it's the anti-establishment 'change' candidate that they're drawn to.

Sadly probably true. Our social narratives are dangerously out of date. But I guess they are also hard to change
