Is my interpretation of "not applicable" right that it would likely suggest an enormous amount of fare evasion from short faring / zero balance virtual cards etc?

Theoretically there's something in the pipeline, but very slow progress

They make it in an 8oz cup 🤦‍♂️

It had been my default as it might force them to make something small. More often than not it would still come with more milk than I'd expect for a cortado.

Vast majority of Starbucks orders in Southern US are for iced beverages. It's not hard to imagine that a Flat White may be quite a niche drink for them.

Unfortunately nearest place that looks like it might have decent coffee is a 30 min drive / 60 min bike ride / 3 hour bus ride.

My experience as a rider, pedestrian, and cyclist in San Francisco suggests they are far safer than your average uber driver, acknowledging that's a very low bar. Will be interesting to see how they cope with the London's narrow / chaotic streets but I think they are net positive.

To be fair my reaction when looking at it was that its only saving grace must be that it's probably really energy efficient

I mean, it's in the middle of a road. If you're visually impaired and find yourself in the middle of a road, then I'd suggest these rubber kerbs are the least of your concerns.

The recycled rubber will be naturally black.

However there's a solid white lane line next to it, and vehicles aren't permitted to cross solid white lane lines - and looks like reflective panels on them too - so arguably adequate markings in place.

And here's the minimal damage they were able in inflict on the Litelok X1

All credit to the police for coming quickly for a bike theft.

And a reminder to always check your locking strategy... and consider a high quality tracker.

Police show up two minutes later (all credit to them).

They seize all the tools in the van, do some further investigation on the van's owner / status, and return my bike.

Back home with my GSD 1 hour after it was stolen!

Looking down the alleyway: a van, three guys, and my bike.

The guys are trying, and failing, to cut the Litelok X1.

I call the police.

The guys get spooked and walk off, briskly, leaving the van, and bike.

Got dressed, jumped in the car and started following the GPS trace.

The bike had a Litelok X1 through the back wheel and there was no sign of it. The speed of the GPS trace suggested it had been loaded into the back of a van.

I ended up following it to the foot of an alleyway 2 miles away.

I peer out of the window: the chain lock through our ground anchor has been cut, and the bike gone.
