Great so far! Hoping to get a spot on a Vipassana retreat, as discussed. Lots of froth keeping me connected to Europe, though, not the retreat we discussed, but nice people here! MAY end up cutting it short in January depending on conditions. But check out my local 3 €/plate veggie cantine food!

Hadn't thought the case of Finnish far-right MP and cop Timo Vornanen who started shooting while very drunk outside a bar after being rejected by some teenage girls would be of wider interest.

Is anyone following this? I will be travelling in the region, probably around the time the recalled legislators are replaced, and would love links to analysis. The pro-recall-alliance looks very odd and fascinating: liberal centrists(?) plus hard-right(?).

Thanks, bomb disposal operation in Köln today. Excellent timing. I will NOT have a relaxed hour at Köln Hbf to change to Hamburg and onwards to Stockholm, Helsinki and the @vihreat.fi party congress. Instead? 4 minutes foreseen changing time at added stop Siegburg/Bonn.

I have no connection to the MPKK or any Finnish state institutions other than being an expat citizen in Brussels. My plan is to roast the lecturers/speakers mercilessly whenever I get the chance, and I am sure, based on what I've heard so far, they'll have a sense of humour about that! 7/
