Why would they pay him anything over this, much less $16 million? Even if there’s liability, what are the damages?

She’s so skilled at fabulism, she may outdo even Kayleigh McEnany!

I see no reason why we can’t become the 11th Canadian province.

I was today’s years old before I ever saw a polar bear do that.

Except for Columbia. Can we just start referring to a capitulation as “a Columbia”?

Lunds/Byerly’s apparently got a heads up, but his own employees and their unions were kept in the dark until the announcement. Not going to sit well with people who are his most ardent and dedicated supporters. Or were.

I’m wondering how the Strib considered his personal Twitter/X account to be “content produced by our newsroom.”

He’s even worse than “Silent” Clarence Thomas, if that’s possible.

Only 8,500-some total votes in an election that determined the majority in Minnesota’s upper house? Yes, a special election in the dead of winter, but yikes. Almost 44,000 votes cast in 2020.

The retaliatory act of a vindictive &@$hole.

As to your last point, I’m a Minnesotan with in-laws in North Dakota and friends in Iowa. I’ve come to believe the prairie has its own beauty. Nothing like purple mountain majesties, to be sure, but a simple beauty all its own.

I see a high of 25F, which we Minnesotans think of as windbreaker weather, not brutal cold.
January 15, 2025 at 7:41 PM
“Saint Luigi”? Seriously? Cold-blooded murder is “liberal”?

I always thought he leaned left, based on his electronic media appearances. So not left or even neutral because he joined the Mpls Times (which I admit I’d never heard of until now)?
December 17, 2024 at 2:30 AM
I tried to say this on your website but I can’t because I’m not a paid user. I’m pretty sure the link to Policy 2240 in the email I got from you takes you to the New Richmond WISCONSIN school district, not the New Richmond OHIO school district.

So *maybe* Thompson’s murder was justified, but you’re not celebrating if so? I’m so relieved.
December 10, 2024 at 4:25 AM
Ah, so killing CEOs of companies we think are greedy or corrupt is morally justified. Got it. (And Bluesky is the civilized, kinder and gentler alternative to X?) And you have no idea what I care about, but I will confess to a firm belief that murder is kinda bad.
December 10, 2024 at 3:58 AM
So you’re saying the killing was justified because UnitedHealth is a bad company?
December 10, 2024 at 3:36 AM
But it says “the entire country,” not co-workers of the employee who called the police. So the entire country is annoyed and thinks we should let suspected murderers go free if they murder heads of companies we don’t like?

What does this mean?
