Respectfully, "run entirely" means run entirely. Grading and advising are a very small subset of that. If Obsidian is going to handle all aspects of university governance, than it is leagues beyond any other LLM or AI in known existence. It is newsworthy. But the bubble doesn't need further inflatin

Side note: growing up on the east-central Iowa farm, Chicago was the first big city (sorry, Des Moines) I ever visited, at age 6 in 1971. Holy shit, you can walk to cool places! A milion different people! Museums, zoos! Boats! It was my equivalent of seeing the Clash or Ramones and wanting to ...

I believe they just lost their third star, so perhaps the superserious folk will have moved on. I mean, I doubt it, but maybe.

My far more modest goal for my next visit to Chicago is simply going when the Stern pinball factory tours are running.

My sadly passed friendly acquaintance Mark Harp used to talk about the time his band was playing upstairs there at Hour Haus in the early 90s when somebody on the street shot up the windows, apparently just to scare the art kidz. That building's been through it for sure.
