I have a mash-topped pie every Monday using the leftover meat, veg and gravy from the Sunday roast. Beef, lamb, pork, chicken it all gets the 'cottage pie' treatment.

Sadly would lead to unintended consequences IMHO. All banks etc take the graduate tax (it's not a 'loan', as Martin Lewis points out) into account for mortgages etc. Financial institutions are unlikely to change their software for a few thousand resident doctors.
