Upsetting news today about the lease on the GISS building being cancelled. Solidarity with my GISS colleagues who do important work on food security, agriculture, exoplanets, and education in addition to their groundbreaking climate modelling.

Hi Zach, I couldn't agree more about different styles working better with different people.

The 'port hole' viz has an interesting backstory. It was created specifically for the Earth Information Center at NASA HQ. On the 84in circular side displays the rise is at a 1 to 1 scale.

March 22nd, 2025 set a record low for the Arctic sea ice extent maximum. March 1st, 2025 was the second lowest Antarctic sea ice minimum, and February 12th, 2025 was the record low total sea ice on record.

On NASA Remembrance Day I'd like to share this plaque I recently came across in Lewes Delaware (ironically while I was there view the large flocks of snow geese that gather in the winter). Before that I was unaware of the story of Ted Freeman the first American astronaut to lose his life in duty.
