Making a big decision to stop when you are down is not the best time. 2032 is seven years away.

It sounds like your working days are very long and that doesn't help when trying to find time.

Hopefully the helpful thought from someone who has a bit of a similar experience is to keep it ticking over until next year and see if things have improved.

Katie, I did my PhD part-time whilst working as a management consultant (working away, long days etc). It is a challenge to find time when your brain isn't too exhausted to work on the PhD. I did some work in hotels, on the train / plane.

Don and I talked a lot about Albuera and 23rd Foot (Pearson). A great loss.

I did a talk a few years ago. Other three speakers. Paddy Griffiths, Richard Holmes and Gordon Corrigan. To say I was nervous was an understatement.

Should the headline be: Racist says racist isn’t racist?

A question to the Friedman’s. Trump and Putin are going to Hungary which is part of the EU and I guess signed up to the ICC. Why is Putin not going to be arrested as an alleged war criminal?

It was when I was finding large holes in the floor of the unlit corridors that I decided a tactical retreat was required. The Peninsula is full of fort from the Roman times onwards, a fortification nerds heaven.

I once wandered around an abandoned fort in the Iberian peninsula. Fence at front, nothing at the rear. I then started thinking about the chances of being found if I fell (none) and decided to carefully retreat. Fortunately, the place is now open to the public. Fort Graca, Elvas.

One of many abbeys to visit in the Borders and northern England. Whitby and Fountains are two other examples.

Amazons search has always been poorer than eBay’s. It’s a waste of time. Stopped using Amazon for this and Bezos’ support of Trump

Yes, I worked that out after I posted.

Interesting. One of my books was on the list a few weeks ago and I registered my interest. My book is no longer on the list.

I am not an expert but I look for the lighter wing patches.

We have then in the north-east. Seen at two local reserves near Sunderland for the last couple of years.

I have deleted it anyway. It was slightly convenient but has gone the way of LinkedIn who wanted too much info and control.

Serious question. Since the only option to log in, is to accept the new TOS, have you given them these permissions even if you subsequently delete the account?

Well! There’s nothing there that I am going to have to buy 😁
