We’re just gonna have to agree to disagree on this. Players time waste, that’s true. It’s a problem. I still believe us and players reasonably discern (even in the moment) when a player is actually injured. I believe this to be one of those cases. If you don’t, that’s fine. I dont see it that way.

I’m a massive Arsenal fan who can be reasonable when I believe someone on my team was in the wrong. Not gonna change how much I support them.
January 8, 2026 at 11:25 PM
They literally had more possession than us. There were 4 minutes of added time. We don’t have to do this haha. They could say the same thing about Martinelli’s dive in the box.
January 8, 2026 at 11:24 PM
Actually great point. Martinelli also dove 10 minutes before the incident so I guess it is reasonable that he would assume further diving.
January 8, 2026 at 11:21 PM
If he stamped on his face, then yeah he probably deserves a red. He didn’t do anything that deserves a red. I think it’s really bizarre to assume a player who went down screaming with a non contact injury is automatically faking it.
January 8, 2026 at 11:12 PM
Do I believe Martinelli knew Bradley was injured purposely tried to injure him further? Not at all. I believe he didn’t know he was injured and I believe you have to be an idiot to assume a player is faking it in that instance. So I believe Martinelli was an idiot and acted shitty.
January 8, 2026 at 11:04 PM
You’re going to come back and say “HE DIDNT KNOW THOUGH!”. And we’re just gonna have to stop there because I’m not going to agree with you. So we can just leave it at that
January 8, 2026 at 10:59 PM
You’re making straw man arguments now. I never said he deserves a yellow. I just said it’s shitty behavior to hit an injured player with a ball and roll him off the pitch. He’s screaming in agony. Maybe just let him be and talk to the ref?
January 8, 2026 at 10:57 PM
I believe Martinelli should know better. I think a player can use his brain and context clues in this situation even in a highly emotional game. It’s immature behavior. I don’t think he deserves red card, but I think it’s poor behavior.
January 8, 2026 at 10:51 PM
He was literally rolling in agony. With all due respect, you can stop responding because I have zero respect for your ball knowledge.
January 8, 2026 at 10:50 PM
I think we’re giving Martinelli a little too much grace given the manner in which Bradley went down. But happy to leave it at that
January 8, 2026 at 10:30 PM
Yes it was. We all have watched enough football in our lives to know what’s a dive and what’s not. I have watched enough ACL tears in a lifetime (had one myself in the exact same way) to know exactly what it looks like. A player screaming out an agony after no contact, it’s clear and obvious.
January 8, 2026 at 10:24 PM
Yeah, if Connor Bradley was diving, sure. He clearly wasn’t so it’s poor behavior. Glad we agree.
January 8, 2026 at 10:19 PM
We’re just not going to agree here.
January 8, 2026 at 10:13 PM
Yeah he got it wrong. That’s my issue? I’m not calling for him to have his contract ripped up haha. Just really poor behavior.
January 8, 2026 at 10:12 PM
Agree to disagree. A professional football player who has played probably nearly a thousand games should know when a player is genuinely hurt. If someone did that to one of our players, I’d be livid. I don’t hate Martinelli but that’s immature behavior. Hit him with the ball? Roll him off the pitch?
January 8, 2026 at 10:11 PM
For sure. It’s just not hard to assume a player who twists his knee with no one around, who is literally crying out an agony, probably is ACTUALLY hurt.
January 8, 2026 at 10:08 PM
Nah - gutless behavior. People who think that was appropriate can’t take off their rose colored glasses. Especially a player who has dealt with knee issues.
January 8, 2026 at 10:05 PM
Don’t have to be a clairvoyant to see when someone blows out their knee in real time
January 8, 2026 at 10:00 PM
Very clearly wasn’t with the way he twisted/ non contact.
January 8, 2026 at 9:57 PM
Pretty sure he tore his ACL
January 8, 2026 at 9:53 PM
That is by far the most shameless thing I’ve EVER seen on a pitch.
January 3, 2026 at 7:26 PM
Hell yeah, been meaning to get into another Everton Instant reaction.
December 24, 2025 at 1:40 AM
I think that’s on the manager…
December 20, 2025 at 9:51 PM
Can take a hell of a penalty though
