Our world is now heading for a fun Mad Max/Jurassic Park/Game of Thrones mash-up.

9. We in Canada are excited by this new chapter for North America. We welcome our American cousins into our fold and we hope you enjoy curling.

8. The remaining red states will be combined into one territory. In the spirit of Northwest Territories we’ll call it Southern Territories and there will be limited self-government with oversight from Ottawa. You can keep your guns but they will require retrofitting to only shoot marshmallows.

2. California and New York can be provinces right away. Washington & Oregon can join British Columbia. Feel free to discuss a new name as that “British” thing is archaic. New England will be divided among Nova Scotia & New Brunswick. Maybe give Rhode Island to Prince Edward Island.

1. All this talk of the #11thProvince is premature. I’m not certain if the Unites States is entirely ready for provincehood just yet. I believe we need to discuss partitions and making a few of the more prosperous states provinces and deal with the rest on a case-by-case basis.

Not sure what's cooler: using a hand-held computer and portable acoustic modem to check email through a payphone in the early 1980s; or, his pipe.
