Just returned home from the anti-ICE protest in Portland today. A 100% peaceful crowd that the Portland Police Department (PPD) estimated to be "in the thousands" marched past ICE's Portland HQ.

ICE, of course, responded with a barrage of tear gas and chemical rounds to suppress free speech.

Within half an hour of when Deputy AG Blanche told reporters that DOJ "complied with the statute...we did not protect President Trump," DOJ deleted multiple documents from the database with damning information about Trump. Among those deleted were first-person accounts of Trump raping kids.

Democracies are so strong that they allow people to criticize democracy. In fact, the ability to do so is an essential quality of democracy. Authoritarians are so weak they don't allow people to criticize authoritarians. Silencing dissent is an essential quality of authoritarian regimes.

The USA, where the summary execution of an unarmed man can now be justified by the actual president, because on a separate occasion he kicked the tail light of a "very expensive government vehicle."

The plan they’re putting in motion is deeply predictable:

Hold a sham raid to “find” fake evidence of voter fraud
Use it as a pretext to influence our elections

We cannot be silent while this administration prepares their assaults on our elections.

Donald Trump remains SO obsessed with stoking conspiracies about his 2020 loss…. that now Tulsi Gabbard is taking part in raids on election facilities in Georgia.

What won’t she do to appease Trump’s fantasies?

More and more, day after day, it seems as if Donald Trump is trying to see how far he can go before Dems call for his empeachment. He wants to be a victim which he believes will bring back MAGAns who have left the fold.

I keep hearing the same argument from MAGA:

"What about all the citizens murdered by illegals".

Then get a warrant and go arrest them!

Don't patrol the streets terrorizing everyone, arresting children at schools and US citizens because you don't know who to arrest. See the difference?

ICE's decision to just leave cars abandoned in the roads is one of those dystopian things that makes you recoil in shock when you encounter it.
A legal asylum-seeker who works at Chipotle and plays music at a church in Maine went missing. His pastor searched and searched, eventually finding his abandoned car with the keys on the floor.

ICE grabbed him. No criminal record. No explanation.

The Director of National Intelligence is a serious, taxpayer-funded position created after 9/11 to coordinate efforts to keep Americans safe.

Tulsi Gabbard is instead serving as Trump’s personal clown, chasing his lies and crackpot conspiracy theories.

This is a scandal.
New: Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, is leading an administration-wide effort to probe the 2020 election for fraud and regularly briefing Trump and top White House officials on her progress. Officials are discussing EOs on voting ahead of midterms.

Another pet peeve: Under Trump, the term "diplomat' has come to mean unqualified, ignorant hack.

It is like the way "patriot" has come to mean anti-American, pro-fascist bigot.

Orwellian double-speak is the official language of the Trump Administration.
